Terms

Course Bookings

Courses can be booked online via our website. Booking is only confirmed once payment has been made. Once a course is fully booked, we operate a waiting list on a first come, first served basis. Once you have made payment, you will be emailed a receipt and sent an email confirmation within an hour. If you have not received a confirmation within 24 hours, please contact us.

All course programmes are indicative, and alterations may be made if deemed necessary to ensure that we are teaching the most up to date and relevant content.

Book / case cards orders will be dispatched within 3 working days by a tracked parcel service. If you have not received your order within 5 working days, please contact us.

Any discounts can only be applied at the time of purchase - NO discounts can be applied retrospectively. Only 1 discount can be applied per order. Discounts for booking 2 courses or with a friend only apply to our 1 day courses, and both spaces must be booked in the same order.

Our terms and conditions are subject to change, although we will always honour the terms in place at the time of your booking. The date the terms were last updated will always be stated on the website.

Cancellation terms

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must do so via email at: info@emedica.co.uk. The request must clearly stipulate that you wish to cancel your course.

You will be entitled to a refund according to the following policy:

CANCELLATION 22 days or more BEFORE course date : Full refund LESS £10 cancellation fee
CANCELLATION 21 or fewer days BEFORE course date: no refund

Please note that if you are unable to attend on the day for any reason, you will not be entitled to any refund.

In the case of multiple bookings, cancellation charges and amendment fees are applied for EACH course or place cancelled separately. If you received a multiple booking discount, this will be deducted from the refund in addition to the cancellation fee.

AKT Pass Guarantee Terms

150 day programme - you will receive an email with details and links to daily and weekly tasks - these are every other day for the first 120 days, and every day for the last 30 days of the programme. You must complete the daily tasks before the next email is sent (within 48 hours for the first 120 days, within 24 hours for the last 30 days). You must complete the weekly tasks before the deadline stated in the email (usually 7 days).

90 day programme - you will receive an email with details and links to daily and weekly tasks - these are every day for the 90 days of the programme. You must complete the daily tasks before the next email is sent (within 24 hours throughout the whole programme). You must complete the weekly tasks before the deadline stated in the email (usually 7 days).

150 + 90 day programme: you commit to read each email, complete all the daily and weekly tasks on time, attend all the live courses and webinars, and complete all the mock exams and targeted revision set on time. Provided these conditions have been fully met, any candidate who does not pass their AKT will be given the opportunity to reattend everything for the next sitting without charge. To take this up, you need to contact us within 30 days of the release of the results for your AKT sitting.

Course amendments:

If you wish to amend your course date, you need to notify us by email at least 22 days before the date of the course you have booked. All swaps are subject to availability and can only be requested for a different date within 6 months of the original course date. All swaps are subject to a £10 course amendment fee.

Any requests for amendments 21 days or less before a course are considered cancellations, with conditions as stated above.

Cancellation by Emedica

In the unlikely event that Emedica has to cancel a course, we will inform you as soon as possible. You will be entitled to a FULL refund OR we will book you onto an equivalent course if available (whichever you prefer). Emedica will not reimburse any travel or associated fees.

Instant access online / digital products including course recordings.

Emedica will provide you access for the stated product and period from the date you first register.

You will take all steps to keep your username and password secure. Your account is for your own personal use only, and sharing of accounts is not permitted. Your IP is logged with every login. If two or more people log in at the same time with the same details, or if there are multiple logins from different locations within a short period of time the account will be locked and no refund will be issued. It is your responsibility to keep your details secure.

If you use a public computer, you must make sure you log out before leaving - if you log in somewhere else with the same details, your account will be locked.

Any technical problems with your computer or device are your responsibility. No refunds will be issued for problems with your device preventing you from using the site.

The software works with the latest version of Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer, and Windows 11, 10, and Mac OS. The online resources also work on smartphones and tablets including iPhone, iPad and Android devices.

Once payment is made and you have logged in once, no refunds will be issued except where there is a problem with the Emedica site which cannot be fixed within 2 working days.

In the event a fault cannot be fixed within 2 working days, we will refund you 10% of the fee paid for every day you are without access.

Promotional discounts cannot be applied retrospectively, and discounts cannot be combined.

All material is © Emedica, and all rights are reserved. If you COPY, DISTRIBUTE or RESELL any of the material (including E-books), you will lose all rights to access the site, and will face legal action for copyright violation.

Physical Products - Distance Selling Regulations

For purchases of physical products such as our books or printed case cards, you may cancel the purchase at any time up to 14 days after delivery. If you wish to cancel your purchase of a printed product, please email us via info@emedica.co.uk with details of your order number. You must arrange and pay for the goods to be returned to us - we will send you details of where to send them via email. You must do this within 14 days of notifying us of your wish to cancel.

If you cancel and return the goods as described above, we will refund the full purchase price, including the original delivery charge, on the condition that you have not used the goods or otherwise handled them so that their value is reduced. If you have handled the goods so as to reduce their value, we may deduct an amount from the refund that is proportionate to this reduction. Refunds are provided within 14 days of our receipt of the returned goods.

Certificates of Attendance + Receipts:

A receipt is provided via email at the time of purchase. Certificates of attendance are provided on request for courses attended within the last 12 months at no additional charge. Requests for certificates of attendance or receipts for courses attended more than 12 months ago are subject to a £10 fee for each certificate or receipt.

All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate (20% for courses and online revision, 0% for books and case cards).

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption and processed by Opayo on their ultra secure servers. Emedica Education Ltd will never see your credit card details.
